Important Information Regarding COVID-19
Thank you for being patient during the recent State Ordered shutdown. As of May 5th we are open for your Dental Needs.
You will notice some changes in our office procedures that we have put in place in order to make your visit as safe as possible. These procedures have been recommended by the American Dental Association and the Tennessee Board of Dentistry.Prior to your appointment we will contact you to confirm that you are not having any symptoms of Corona virus and have not been in contact with anyone that has the virus. We are taking temperature with a no touch thermometer of all persons who enter the office, staff, and patients. Anyone with an abnormal temperature will be asked to reschedule their appointment.
Symptoms of coronavirus are reported as flu-like, with varying degrees of severity. While we do not know everything about this virus to date, individuals who are elderly and/or immunocompromised appear to be the most at risk of a severe infection. To ensure your health and safety, and the health and safety of everyone at our practice, please reschedule your appointment if you or a member of your household has a cough, fever, and/or flu-like symptoms. In addition, please reschedule your appointment if you have traveled to any areas within the past 14 days that are at high risk for contracting the coronavirus.
In order to limit contact to as few people as possible, if you have a hygiene appointment with one of our Hygienists, they will collect all needed information for Dr. Gilmore to evaluate and formulate a treatment plan if other treatment is needed. Unless more diagnostic information is needed that only Dr. Gilmore can collect or you have questions for him we will not be doing in person exams for recare appointments.
If you have any chronic breathing problems (such as asthma, emphysema etc), heart conditions (COPD), or immunocompromised in any way PLEASE CALL BEFORE COMING TO OUR OFFICE, so we can determine if treatment is required and if so how best to provide that treatment in a safe manner. It may be in some circumstances that we should postpone treatment or make arrangements to schedule a time for you when we can assure that no other patients will be in the office.
We ask that non essential persons to please wait in your vehicle during your appointment. If you would prefer you can call our office when you arrive and we can advise you when we are ready to seat you to avoid having to set in the waiting room.
If you have a previous appointment that had to be cancelled due to the pandemic we are in the process of calling patients to re schedule. Please call if you would like to reschedule your appointment sooner.
We thank you in advance and extend our gratitude for your understanding and cooperation. Together, we can help keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office, and one of our staff members will be more than happy to assist you.
